All of you
is welcome here.
For many trans, queer, and neurodivergent people, life can mean navigating a world that wasn’t built with us in mind. The pressure to fit in, adapt, mask, and keep pushing through can leave us feeling anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, and burned out.
What would your life look like if you were never asked to make yourself bigger or smaller, more or less, louder or quieter, more masculine or more feminine? Who might you be if you didn’t have to spend so much energy trying to be “normal”?
You don’t have to become someone else to heal. Therapy can be a place where you can untangle those messages, gently unmask, and come home to yourself.
Meet Becks
I practice from an integrative framework that combines a feminist, trauma-informed approach with Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
I believe the best therapy is an art and not a science. As your co-creator I can promise you that I will playfully and gently challenge you. We can use metaphor, art, somatic practices, or something else entirely that we discover together, to explore old experiences and embody new possibilities.
What is
Assimilation Trauma?
I frequently work with what I’ve dubbed “assimilation trauma”, which I understand as the cumulative impact of chronic self-suppression, misattunement, and coerced adaptation that can happen when neurodivergent people grow up and live in a world structured for neurotypical minds, nervous systems, and ways of being.
